Hi, I’m Bob Lutz, and I first entered the health insurance
business when I met Wiley Long (our company President) back in
1988. I was the drummer for a blues/rock cover band called Bourbon
Tumbleweed, playing Stevie Ray Vaughn, Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton,
and other such artists. I realized back then that you had to be
lucky (or really good!) to make a living as a musician. Wiley
convinced me to join the insurance industry and become a health
insurance expert, and here we are, 20 years later, still working
together!

Actually,
I just find life to be more fun if you’re… having
fun. This picture is from Mardi Gras in New Orleans which,
believe me, is all about fun. I of course love the music
down there too, and tend to head that way for a weekend every
year or two. If I don’t have that kind of time I may
go motorcycle riding in the mountains, and I also play a good
bit of golf when the weather’s warm.
I also like
to help other people have fun. One of the things I love
to do is volunteer at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
Every Tuesday night “Bookcart Bob” gets to
deliver a little happiness to each patient’s room. Sometimes
I read books and play music for the kids that are confined to
the hospital, and other times I simply pass out magazines and
books to the kids and their visiting families. Some of these
children have spent most of their lives living in that hospital.
It’s a great reminder that our health is a gift and we should
do all we can to take care of it.

as I like to play, most of the time you’ll find me sitting
in my office, helping clients with their health insurance needs.
