HSA plans are
the most economical way for most people to insure their health.
The premiums are much lower than conventional plans, and all medical
expenses essentially become tax deductible. However, for some
people an HSA plan is simply not in their budget. If that is
your situation, we recommend that you at least get coverage for accidents
and critical illness.
These plans have
a $100 deductible, then cover 100% up to $5000 or $10000 for any accident.
They also pay up to $5000 or $10,000 if you suffer from cancer, a
heart attack, stroke, major organ transplant, or rental failure.
These benefits are guaranteed issue regardless of any pre-existing
health conditions.
Though these plans
are in no way equivalent to a normal health insurance policy with
a lifetime limit of $2 million or more, they are much better than
having nothing at all, and the premiums are very affordable.
