Is any person to be insured employed in an Ineligible Occupation?
Applicants
recently laid off, temporarily unemployed or between jobs, or
on medical disability are not eligible. Note: Retirees,
homemakers, and financially independent individuals are not considered
unemployed individuals.

Is the applicant, spouse or any of their dependents, regardless
if applying for coverage, currently pregnant or an expectant
parent?
Time Insurance
does not accept an application on a pregnant female, nor a father
of an unborn child. Coverage for the pregnant mother or
the father of the unborn child is not available until the pregnancy
has ended. To be eligible to apply for coverage, the baby
must have had a well baby exam at least 2 weeks after medical
discharge.
5)
Does any person to be insured have a pending doctor appointment
(other than routine) or has diagnostic testing, treatment
or surgery been recommended or scheduled thats not completed?
Ineligible
applicants are those with pending non-routine appointments, diagnostic
testing, treatment or surgery. These applicants should postpone
applying until after the appointment, treatment or surgery is
complete and the results and diagnosis are known. Wellness
services, routine visits or follow-ups to a previously diagnosed
illness/disease are eligible to apply. A newborn must have
a well baby exam at least 2 weeks after medical discharge to be
eligible for coverage.
6)
Is any person to be insured NOT a U.S. citizen or an immigrant
here on visa status, or has any person to be insured been
in the U.S. less than one year?
To be considered
for coverage, applicants who are not U.S. citizens must:
Have
been in the U.S. for at least one year
Have a permanent visa or green card status
Have an established physician* in this country from
whom medical records can be obtained
* An
established physician provides a complete physical exam which
includes age appropriate testing as defined by the U.S.
Preventive Services Task Force.

Has any applicant age 55 or older NOT had a physical within the
last 5 years?
Applicants
age 55 or older who have not been to a doctor for a complete physical
exam in the past 5 years are not eligible for Individual Medical
insurance coverage. These applicants will be postponed until after
the physical exam has been completed and results known. Visits
to a podiatrist, dermatologist and other specialists will not
satisfy the complete exam requirement. If the applicant wishes
to reapply after completing a physical exam, the following results
will need to be provided by and paid for by the applicant:

Does any person to be insured have plans for extended travel?
Those contemplating
travel (within the next 4 months) or extended travel (3 months
or more) are not eligible for Individual Medical insurance
coverage. This includes students who travel abroad or study overseas.
9)
Will any proposed insured become eligible for any other form
of medical insurance in the next six months?
As a general
rule, medical insurance should not be taken if the applicant will
become eligible for other medical insurance coverage. Short
Term Medical insurance would be recommended in these circumstances.
